There are a few things I miss about being unemployed.
-I miss 3:00pm naps
-I miss having obscene amounts of time to waste everyday on blogging, reading blogs, and IRC-ing
-I miss having time to clean my house and cook proper meals and do all of those other domestic things (although I think this is mostly a matter of figuring out the new time management thing)
-I miss the ergonomic keyboard I have at home
There are also things that are great substitutes for the things I miss
-Getting paid an hourly wage for doing something that I don’t really mind doing, and it’s good to feel productive (I can sleep when I’m dead).
-Interacting with real people during the course of my day, instead of living vicariously through blogs
-Being able to buy more laundry that will need washing, and more things for my domicile that will need cleaning, organizing, and/or putting away
-Frambosia’s and nachos are a fantastic soother for the pain of carpal tunnel after using a non-ergo keyboard at work all day
Yes, I definitely think I can get used to this job thing.
I agree with jenny, just bring it with you 🙂
Ask for an ergo keyboard at work or take yours from home!
I’ll definately trade you, I miss income. There’s only so much you can do with massive amounts of time and no income. A lottery winning would suite me fine.
