So I was walking home from the skytrain tonight at about 9pm. I left the house 12 hours ago to head for the bar to watch the Superbowl.
Amazing 4th quarter.
And it’s funny how sitting around and doing nothing for 12 hours can completely exhaust a person.
Anyway, back to my story.
So I’m walking down the street, fiddling with everything in my pocket (no gloves, hands were cold) which includes my pepper spray on my keychain. There were cops at the bank up the street, since the alarm had gone off there, and I was imagining how I would use the pepper spray and my eleet kung-fu skills to disarm the fugitive who would certainly immediately bust out of the bank, run down the street, then try to use me for a hostage (this is what I think about when I have no walkman to distract me).
Of course that didn’t happen, and I made it home without incident.
Until I walked into the bathroom….
And stuck my fingers in my eye to take my contacts out.
Yes.
The same fingers that were just fondling the pepper spray.
D’oh!
owww my eyes started burning in sympathy!!
it’s not as bad as pepper spray, but I did once get Fun-Dip in my eye. I thought I was going blind. there are some weird chemicals in that stuff – i can’t believe we let kids eat it.
Rog: it’s ok. I laughed too 🙂
Okay peechie, I feel really bad, because I laughed.
It sounds horrifically painful. I went temporarily blind once from sunblock getting on my contacts. I can barely imagine the pain from pepper spray in the eyes.
OUCH!!! Dooooooooood!
OWWWWWWWWW!
