Finally, July (what I dubbed as “hell month”) is over.
I’ve enjoyed almost every minute of it, but I was definitely starting to feel the more advanced signs of burnout, and need the break. Not that August will be much better, but things are definitely winding down.
In the past month I’ve managed to tackle:
1 Baseball mini-tournament
1 Meatfest
1 Blog meet
1 good friend coming into town
1 of my SO’s relatives coming into town
1 Wedding Anniversary
3 Major Fundraising Efforts (and numerous smaller ones)
5 birthdays (including my own)
5 training walks ranging from 10-18kms
5 Hours of OT at work (I could’ve done more, but I’ve been exhausted)
Plus the regular 37.5 hours/week of work, and the daily grind of laundry, groceries, cleaning, eating, etc. Oh, and sleeping where that fits in too.
Like I said, it’s all been fun stuff, but it all seemed to happen all at the same time.
But I’ve finally made it through, and turned the phones off last night, curled up with my book, and didn’t get out of bed until 12 hours later. I think I deserved it. And I’m glad I can wipe down the ol’ timeposter today and start with a fresh page.
Whoops. I forgot all about the hotdog sale and pub night. I’m a moron. HOWEVER!! I did finally manage to send some money over your way, and it’s more than I would’ve spent for the pub night and hot dog sale combined.
Seriously, you are my hero for doing this. Continual good luck.
