tick tick tick

Well, it must be less than a month until my contract expires, because I am officially starting to get a little antsy about it. Last year staff weren’t officially re-signed until a mere 7 days before their deals expired. That doesn’t make me want it done now any less. I dreamed about work last night. … Continue reading tick tick tick

Brain Fart

Some days I seriously doubt my ability to do my job. Funny thing though, it’s not because I don’t believe I’m smart enough – it’s because I’m too smart. On these kind of days, I tend to view the entire system as flawed, and counter-intuitive, and I can’t dumb myself down enough to plod along … Continue reading Brain Fart

First, a PSA – November is here, please get your poppy and donate generously.

Other than that, nothing interesting to report. I kicked a bit of ass at Training Jeopardy and won a company branded hoodie jacket. Handy, as I’ve been in the HOLYFRICKINHELLITSCOLDINHERE training room all last week and today.

Other points to consider: The cafeteria coffee here is among the most rancid I’ve ever tasted. My coffee consists of freshly ground premium beans (think Seattle based java emporium – I know someone who gets her “free pound of beans a week” and doesn’t drink the stuff), filtered water, and steamed soymilk.

What would Jesus you do?

Tidbits

It’s discouraging to look out the window and notice that the sky is nearly identical in colour to the ceiling tiles. I am 2.2lbs smaller than I was this time last week. I plan to counter that with a combination of girls’ night tonight, and turkey on Sunday. The turkey plan may fail, since I’m … Continue reading Tidbits

Ice Princess

This training room is still damn cold. They dangled hope in front of our faces by saying that “there are now three heating complaints for the [bigass] building – so I guess we’ll have someone come in to fix it.” But we are not fooled! And it is still not fixed. What we are is … Continue reading Ice Princess
